Mark: 34. Kingdom Currency (10:17–31)

In Mark 10:17–31, a wealthy young man comes to Jesus with appearing to by everything he could want! Success, morality, possessions… and yet still lacked. Though he had all he still had something missing, a deep ache for something more. His encounter with Jesus exposes a tension we all face: we can accumulate everything and still lack what matters most.

In this message, we explore Jesus’ invitation to loosen our grip on the things that compete for our allegiance and discover the freedom of surrender. Through practices like generosity and simplicity, we can learn to hold God’s good gifts with open hands and trust that Jesus wants more for us than from us.
